B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering
(In association with Indus University)

Aerospace engineers need to be meticulous and skilled at fixing problems. They should be proficient in designing, computers and be able to communicate clearly. They must be adept at functioning properly and possess strong technical planning abilities.

One of the fascinating job options in India is a B.Tech in Aerospace engineering. Aviation and Aerospace companies hires the majority of these Aerospace engineers that have graduated.

The four years, which are broken up into eight semesters, make up the B.Tech Programme in Aerospace engineering. Aerospace engineering is the right degree for you if you have an interest in helicopter, rocket, missile and aircraft design. Aerodynamics, a crucial area of physical science that pertains to Aerospace engineering, studies the motion of air and how it interacts with moving things like aircraft. You must get a B.Tech in Aerospace engineering before you can work as an aerodynamic engineer.

B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering

B.Tech Aerospace Engineering is a 4-year full-time undergraduate program focused on the design, development, testing, and analysis of aircraft and aerospace systems. The course provides students with a strong foundation in core engineering areas such as aerodynamics, propulsion systems, aerospace structures, avionics, and flight mechanics.

The programme trains students to understand the principles of flight, the behavior of aerodynamic forces, and the functioning of propulsion systems used in aircraft and space vehicles. Students also learn how to design and analyze aerospace systems using modern engineering tools and simulation techniques.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, students gain practical exposure through laboratory work, simulation-based training, and engineering analysis of aerospace systems. This helps develop strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required in the aerospace and aviation industries.

The Objective of the Course

  • To prepare students for success in postgraduate studies or in industry or technical careers and to equip them with the academic atmosphere and lifelong learning necessary for a successful professional career in Aerospace engineering and associated subjects.
  • To give students a strong foundation in the math, science, and engineering principles needed to solve engineering challenges and further their education.
  • To provide students with a strong foundation in aviation science and engineering so they can comprehend, evaluate, design, and develop advanced flying equipments.
  • To cultivate in students a sense of aviation professionalism and ethics, as well as excellent communication, teamwork, a multidisciplinary approach, and the capacity to connect engineering problems to broader societal contexts.

Placement Opportunities: B.Tech Aerospace Engineering

For students pursuing B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, the Training & Placement (T&P) Department acts as a dedicated catalyst for careers in design, development, and testing. This program empowers students to go beyond maintenance, focusing on the innovation of aircraft, spacecraft, and autonomous systems.

The department provides comprehensive career solutions by encouraging students to explore opportunities across:

  • Aerospace Design & Development: Roles in conceptualizing and creating blueprints for next-generation aircraft, missiles, and satellites.
  • Systems & Propulsion Engineering: Designing and optimizing jet engines, fuel systems, and flight control electronics (Avionics).
  • Defense & Research Organizations: Opportunities in premier national agencies such as DRDO, ISRO, and HAL, focusing on strategic aerospace projects.
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) & Robotics: Joining the rapidly growing drone industry in roles related to autonomous flight and structural design.
  • Structural Analysis & Testing: Evaluating flight data and testing prototypes to ensure maximum safety and aerodynamic efficiency.

By integrating Indus University’s strong academic foundation with WIIA’s unique practical environment, including hands-on exposure to our on-campus Boeing 737, the placement cell ensures our Aerospace Engineers are uniquely prepared for the rigorous demands of the global technology landscape.
